STEP 0
Commands you will learn in this excercise
- LLL - lock selected layers
- LLO - turning off selected layers
- NLL - create new layers
- LL - specify current layer.
- AUM - change APLUS units to metres
- DRP - set layers for doors and walls
- D1 - insert doors in walls
- DFL - flip doors
- SILL - search for sills in walls
Starting situation
STEP 1
Lock 'axes' and 'guides' layers with LLL command
STEP 2
Turn off 'axes' layer with LLO command
STEP 3
Create new layer with NLL command and name it 'doors'
STEP 4
Set 'doors' layer as current with LL command (you can type just 'door' and APLUS will find this layer)
STEP 5
To make sure that you are working in meters, use AUM command
STEP 6
Set properties for doors with DRP command (you may need to draw something on 'doors' layer to set is as default for inserted doors)
STEP 7
Create doors with D1 command (look at guides to see what dimmensions to set). Use arbitrary places
STEP 8
Flip doors with DFL command (look at guides to see which doors should be fliped)
STEP 9
Move doors to correct position with AutoCAD's _STRETCH command
STEP 10
Change current layer to 'sills' with LL command
STEP 11
Turn off 'doors'and 'guides' layers with LLO command
STEP 12
Create lintels with command SILL, set maximal width to 3 m, minimal width to 0.50 m and max. wall width to 0.50. Select everything, APLUS will do the rest
FINAL SITUATION
Here is expected result of this excercise. You should get drawing with doors and lintels. As you can see some of lintels were not drawn, that is because APLUS can only draw lintels in normal holes (in this particular design there are holes between walls and corners etc.)
